This policy explains what information Study with Dr. Jyotika (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Account information — your name, email address, and (if you add one) phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
Learning activity — your course enrolments, units you complete, MCQ attempts, flashcard reviews, bookmarks, study-calendar events, exam goals, and Pomodoro sessions. This powers your progress, streak, and countdown.
Technical data — basic device and log information needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
To provide the service — show your courses, track progress, and sync across your devices.
To maintain your streak, accuracy, and exam countdown.
To secure your account and prevent abuse.
To improve the product and respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and storage. Your data is stored there and protected by row-level security so it's scoped to your account.
Google — used only if you choose Google sign-in, to verify your identity.
Cookies & local storage
On the web we use a session cookie to keep you signed in. In the mobile app we store your session and preferences (such as your theme) on the device. These are required for the service to work; we don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights & choices
You can view and update your name, email, and phone from Settings.
You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by emailing us.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data, except where we're required to retain it by law.
Children
The service is intended for medical students and other adults preparing for examinations. It is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app.
